Klokken20 complies with GDPR, and all data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt). All profile photos are manually reviewed. You can block and report users in a couple of taps. Your data is encrypted, never sold and never shared with third parties for marketing. You can delete your account and all data at any time.

Proactive Moderation
All profile photos are manually reviewed before becoming visible. We check for inappropriate content, fake profiles and manipulation.
Easy Reporting
Report users, messages or content directly in the app. We take all reports seriously and respond quickly.
Blocking Feature
Block users you don't want to interact with. They can't see your profile, send invitations or contact you.
Data Protection
We strictly follow GDPR. Your data is encrypted, never sold and never shared with third parties for marketing, and you can delete your account anytime.
Consent Mechanisms
The conversation invitation ensures both parties want to talk. No one can force you into interaction.
Photo Verification
Take a selfie with a specific gesture — a moderator approves it manually, and your profile earns the blue verification shield. After every event, we also collect participants' feedback and safety reports.
MitID verification — coming
We are working on MitID verification (Denmark's national digital ID) as an extra layer of trust on top of the manual photo review and photo verification. Klokken20 is a Danish platform, and we'll announce it in the app when it's ready.

Avoid sharing personal contact information too early. Use Klokken20 messages until you feel safe.

First meetings should always be in a public place. Tell a friend where you'll be.

Respect boundaries

If someone says no to something, accept it. Persistent contact attempts after rejection is harassment.

Violation of guidelines may lead to suspension or permanent exclusion

  • Be clear about purpose and expectations
  • Answer questions from participants
  • Consider a backup plan for bad weather
  • Build trust through good, well-planned events — participants give feedback after every event

Klokken20 only makes the introduction — we are not responsible for user-created events or meetings. Hosts and participants are responsible for their own safety. Always meet in public places, and tell someone you trust where you're going.

What to Do If...

...you experience harassment or threats?

  1. Report the user immediately via the profile
  2. Block the user to stop all contact
  3. Save screenshots of messages as documentation

  5. For serious threats: Contact the police

...you see inappropriate content?

  1. Report the content directly (picture, activity contribution, event description)
  2. We aim to review all reports within 48 hours
  3. Block the user if you don't want to see more from them

...you think someone is a fake profile?

  1. Report the profile with reason "Fake profile"
  2. We investigate all suspicions thoroughly
  3. Confirmed fake profiles are permanently removed

By default, no. Your messages are private between you and your conversation partner, and we do not read along in your conversations. Messages pass through automated filters (spam, illegal content and abusive language) that can flag a message for review. Only if a message is reported or flagged by the filter can our moderation team see it — along with the necessary context — in order to handle the case. Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest, but not end-to-end encrypted.

Only if they are also on Klokken20. Your profile is only visible to other Klokken20 users. We never share your presence on social media, and we never ask for access to your contact list.

With the right precautions, yes. On Klokken20 we encourage meeting through our public events and activities, where you are in safe surroundings with other people. Always meet in a public place the first few times, and tell a friend where you are.

Klokken20 fights catfishing with profile verification, activity-based matching (it is harder to fake actions than pictures), and a reporting system. Join events and activities — it is the best way to see if a person is real, because you meet in real life.
